Every year I take Spring pictures at a private K-12 school that requires uniforms. But on "Spring Picture Day" they are allowed to wear their "Sunday Best". We photograph them individually and with their siblings if their parents request it. The cutest brother and sister came for pictures with matching outfits. They were about 5 and 10. The girl had on a beautiful spring dress, and the boy had on a matching dress shirt and tie. Immediately, I was reminded of my two children at that age. (They are now 22 and 28). I wanted to curl up in a ball, lay on the floor and cry. Not just cry, but UGLY cry! Yes. Cry. Why? Did I mention they are now 22 and 28? It reminded me of how quickly this time passes and how it is gone for me. I looked forward each year spending hours going to every store at the mall (no online shopping then) to find the perfect dress for Taylor and then matching shirt and tie for Timothy. Some years I even went as far as to find a dress for me that matched their outfits! (Its a Southern Georgia thing!) I also took them to Mr. Barbee every year for their annual Easter Portraits. I love and cherish these images even more today than I did 15 years ago. Spring is about new life and a new season. I hope you will take time to stop and cherish this new season as your children are another year older. I know that you will want to remember every detail of this time! Because I want you to have this memory, I will you gift you an 8x10 print from your Easter Session. Just tell me you read my blog post at your Easter Portrait Ordering Session, and I promise not to cry! CLICK HERE TO BOOK YOUR EASTER SESSION!
